Part 3: The Names and Titles of Jesus Christ – The Fulfillment of God’s Revelation
The titles of Jesus Christ reveal His divine identity and His mission to redeem humanity. Each title is a facet of His character, a reflection of His role in God’s redemptive plan.
1. LORD JESUS CHRIST
The full title “Lord Jesus Christ” encapsulates His divinity (Lord), His humanity (Jesus), and His mission (Christ). It is a declaration of His authority, His sacrifice, and His fulfillment of God’s promises.
To call Him “Lord Jesus Christ” is to recognize Him as the King of kings, the Savior of the world, and the Anointed One who reigns eternally.
2. SON OF GOD
The title “Son of God” emphasizes Jesus’ divine nature and His unique relationship with the Father. It affirms His equality with God and His role as the eternal Word made flesh.
As the Son of God, Jesus bridges the gap between heaven and earth, offering us access to the Father through His sacrifice.

“Son of Man” highlights Jesus’ humanity and His identification with us. This title speaks to His role as the Messiah who came to serve, suffer, and save.

4. LAMB OF GOD
John the Baptist declared, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). This title points to Jesus’ role as the ultimate sacrifice, the fulfillment of the Old Testament sacrificial system.
